Because I’m going to guide you to setup Google analytic for WordPress Blog , WordPress website , Google Blogger and for other Website.
So, without any more explanation, lets start with how to setup Google analytics for WordPress, Blogspot blog and
How to setup Google Analytic
So, to start with the setup. First you need to visit Google Analytic page. It will take you to Google account sign in page.
Here you need to login with your Google account details like your Gmail
Address and Your Gmail account password.
Once you have entered your Gmail and password. Click on next to login.
After which it will take you to Google Analytics Sign up page as you are new to Google Analytics.
Simply click on Signup which is on the right top corner.
Next , under Website option you need to provide all the required details about your blog.
Its simple, you can see the image below , how I entered all required details.
- Account name : You can give any name you are comfortable with. You can see I named it as My Blogs.
It is just to separate the information of your blog from other blog ( incase if you have one or more different type of blogs ).
- Website name : Your Website name goes here. For example Join Kadir is the name of my blog.
- Website URL : Here you need to paste your blog homepage url ( Address ).
Also select https if your blog have ssl certificate if not select http.
- Industry Category : Select suitable category for your blog. If not then select others.
- Reporting Time Zone: Here you need to choose your region time zone. I have selected as I’m from india.
Just below that you will see some more option. Leave those option as they are , no need to touch.
Finally click on Get Tracking ID.
When you click on Get Tracking ID. It will take you to Agreement page.
Here you need to select your country from the drop down menu.
Then click on I Accept.
It will show you a Success message in green color, then you will be redirected to a page.
In this page you will get your Tracking ID or Say your Tracking Code.
Now that you have your Google Analytics Tracking Code you need to place it on your blog.
So where ? well you can paste it just before the end of body tag.
What i mean is that paste it inside your body tag.
By placing the code at the bottom of page, it wont effect your blog load time.
If you want you can place it on top inside head section.

Google Analytics setup for WordPress
Now I assume that you have a blog or website on WordPress. So, lets see how we can paste and where we can paste the Google Analytics Tracking Code.
I have a very simple way to place Google Analytics Tracking code on WordPress using WordPress Plugin.
Ya you got it right plugin.
There is a Plugin call Insert Headers and footers Plugin. It is a simple Plugin, where you get two box to add code. One for header and one for Footer. You can insert multiple code using the plugin in your site header or footer.
Anyway goto to WordPress admin dashboard and click on Plugin. Once you are on Plugin page click on
Add New option. In the search box type Insert headers and footers. Here you will get the plugin.
Install the plugin and Activate the plugin. Once the plugin is activated, you will get header and footer option under setting on your WordPress admin dashboard. Just click on that option.
Now you will see two box written Scripts in header and Scripts in footer.
Copy the Google Analytics tracking code from Google Analytics tracking page. after that paste that code in the footer box and Click on save.
Finally you are done with placing the Google Analytics Tracking code. Now the last thing is to test it.
Go to that Google Analytics page. Just near Tracking ID you will see sent test traffic. Click on it.
If everything is ok, it will load your WordPress site on a new pop-up window. You are done.
Google Analytics setup for Blogger
Setting up of Google Analytics Tracking code on Blogspot blog is quite simple. Google blogger by default itself have option to place Google Analytics tracking code.
To setup Google Analytics Tracking code on blogger, first got to blogger Dashboard.
Once you are on Blogger Admin dashboard, click on settings and Under settings click on Others option.
Here you will see Analytics Web Property ID option. There is a box , enter your tracking id in that box as show above image. For Blogspot blog you only need to copy and paste the Tracking ID and not the Tracking code.
Once you paste the Tracking ID. Click on save. after that go to Google Analytics Tracking code page.
To test that everything is ok , click on sent test traffic. If all ok, it will either take you to your blogspot blog or it will open your blogspot blog on a new pop-up window. Finally you are done setting up Google Analytics tracking ID on your Blogger Blog.
Google Analytics setup for static Website
Setting up of Google Analytics Tracking code on static website is quite similar to WordPress and Blogspot blog.
Only thing is that you have to manually walk into the source code of your website. And you have to paste it by your own.
To place tracking code on your static website, goto source code. Search for the end of body tag. Closing of body tag will be at the bottom.
Just before the end of the body tag, copy and paste the tracking code. Finally click on save. You are done.
